lug measurement
Hello,
How is lug measurement determined? Measured from lugs to lug next to each other or lug to lug across across from each other like a star pattern? Thanks.

Neither. :)
There's a circle drawn through the centers and it's the diameter of that circle.
So if you've got a even number of lugs there are two you can measure across.
Measure from the inside of one to the outside of another is easier to get it right.
If it's an odd number there are places out there with short cuts written down.
If it's a Ford pickup with 5 lugs then it's called...
"5 on 5 and a half".
5 lugs on a 5.5 inch circle. :)
Dodge used the same for their half ton pickups too.

Right on man, thanks for the info. also the MRW link is really cool too. I got a 76 f100 flairside LB 300 6, it's my daily driver on these Cali streets and freeways wouldn't have any other way. if any one knows where I can get a vacuum diagram for the 300cid 6cyl I be would appreciative.

And it shouldn't be hard to remember for 5 lug...
"outside of one to the center of the opposite lug"
At least that's close enough to know what's what,
and that's all a guy needs, really :)
