Cab Mount Replacement
I need replace the cab mounts along with the floors on my 78 f150. The mounts that are on the truck (assuming factory) look to be two pieces. Here is a picture:

All the aftermarket cab mounts i have found seem to be one piece, except for Dennis Carpenter. Are these one piece mounts ok to use? I know to stay away from LMC and such, but i have been looking at tabco or broncograveyard. I would go with Dennis Carpenter but i can't really justify spending 85 when i could spend 30 a mount. Is it ok to use the one piece mount as long as they are of factory thickness?

Man I sit in the same boat as you but my cab is sitting on the frame as both sides are totally gone. Yeah DC has both the parts to do it right, but if you can weld you can make something up cheaper and alot more beefy.

Welding is no problem i just want to make sure the cab is sitting at the right height. I guess i could work with some sheet metal. Does anyone k now what gauge or thickness the factory cab mount is? Thanks

I did mine like 11 years ago. I bought the cheap J C whitney ones and they were way too thin. I put another angle piece inside if I remember correctly to beaf it up. Doesn't look like the factory ones but worked. Not sure what the factory thickness was. Mine looked like yours.
