hey guys i have a 93 f-250 with a E.F.I. 460 and a five speed transmission. my problems are: when shifting from 2nd to 3rd, 3rd gears kinda clicks, then goes in gear. the problem was much worse this summer, 3rd gear would jus grind then go into gear. it took about 15-20 seconds of holding the shifter in the 3rd gear position to have it go into gear with out it grinding horribly. now its just kind of a click and it goes in gear in about 2-5 seconds. the truck will not go into 2nd gear until the truck is almost stopped. when you try to shift from 3rd to 2nd to go around a corner or something with 4.10 gears this is usually around 10 miles an hour 2nd gear jut grinds. any ideas?? sorry this is so long and kind of tricky to explain thanks

 

Your synchronizers are going out. If you have the M5OD, you need to change the fluid more often than the regular schedule.
