This is my second post. On the first post, I realized that I didn't say hello and thanks for the great forum. Very good information here and a lot of knowledge to be passed on.
That being said, on to my issue. I'm stuck sourcing parts for the disk brake conversion on my '66 F-100. I'm having a difficult time finding a good donor in my area. The article by Dennis Austin (link below) on the Drum to Disc conversion suggests using '74 F-100/F-150-250 spindles for converting the '65-'66 F-100s.
Anything up to '79 works, though there is some debate on kingpin size over the years, but if you pull the entire I-beams that doesn't become a problem. My how-to, in case you haven't found it yet: f100discs
I agree with Dwight, but recommend buying your donor to harvest your parts from. I suggest the disc brake and power steering swap be done at the same time. If you have a FE engine you will have to limit your search to 76 as that was the last year they were installed.
Find a donor with a running gear that you want your truck to end up with and go from there. Sometime stopping at someones house with one parked out back can be a source.
I have what you need. I will be selling Disc brakes complete soon. They will bolt on to your stock I beams. It will come with new spindles. Call 262-352-4883 for more info

Will you be offering everything for the completion, including master cylinder, booster, porp. valve, new lines, newly required line hangers and any other parts?
I will have everything from the I beams to the brakes. I will not be selling the power brake booster.I am doing a sub frame swap but I will still need that.Every thing form the fire wall forward will be available.
Maybe so, but the easy part is finding the master cylinder and pro valve. It is a great kit and it only has 5k on it. Almost brand new for half the price. Seems like a no brainer.
I pulled the entire front set up- power brakes, power steering, and disc brake setup out of a 75 I beams, spindles, rotors, Master Cyl- booster, pumps, pulleys, tierods, ehh you get the picture.. 100 bucks I believe I payed for it... couple hundred to rebuild and replace.. and my truck drives like a town car... kinda.
Thanks for all the input fellas. I ended-up finding complete disc spindles, Pvalve, master cylinder and booster from a '78.
Since I'm installing lowered beams on my '66, I didn't take the I beams from the donor. Made a quick call to DJM and they varified that the King Pins in their kit will work fine with the newer '78 units.
