I have to imagine they have been around for a year or more, getting the snot beaten out of them to make sure the parts, as designed, will stand up to the abuse that they are about to warranty.

Dont they have a system like the fx4? no LS diff????

i thought they had a LS diff. guess that one doesnt

Lol, he just informed me that it had an electronic locker but forgot to turn it on..... haha

From what i have read the FX4 dont have a LS diff and nor does the raptor as it has the same locker setup as the fx4.

my sticker says 3.73 ls with electronic locker. and i know its a ls, both tires wouldnt lock up if it wasnt.

I see a thread on here the other day and one on another forum saying that it's only engaged in 4x4 mode and not 4x2 mode. That would expalin for the 1 wheel spin on the raptor and seeings they have the same system i would have thought they were exactly the same. I could be wrong though. Check ya manual as i think mine says something about the locker even though i dont have one.

well the locker can only be engaged in 4x4, but other than that it should be a limited slip, not an open, atleast thats how mine is. that was one of the first things i tested. and its never left me with just one black mark. both rear wheels lock up with the ls as long as they are on the same type of ground. now if one wheel was in grass and the other on pavement, then the one on grass would spin. but both on the same thing spin together.

thats what i was thinking. that it could be engaged in 2wd and/or 4wd
