various alignment and suspesion problems
i bought a '97 f250 7.3 4x4 about six months ago. it only had 97,000 miles on it and was pretty much exactly the right truck for me.
about a month ago i supported a motorcycle trip to mexico that involved some very rough roads. i was hauling two bikes, a boat, outboard, etc. about 1500 lbs.
after going down one of the prettey bad roads one of the guys who was behind me said my truck is going down the road at an angle. the rear wheels being slightly to the right of the front ones.
also i noticed that the front passenger side wheel seems to be cambered out a bit, and it is wearing down on the inside edge.
one last thing. before we went on the trip i noticed that the driver side rear of the truck is a little higher than the right.
i looked under the front of the truck and there only seams to be about 2" of travel before it bottoms out. is this normal?
i have plans to take it to a local (oakland ca) frame and alignment shop soon. any advice?
