A little off subject...Help

It's still a Ford...but not a truck. My father-in-law has a '05 Ford 500. Last week the gauges started flipping out and then froze. All warning lights came on. Dealer said the gauge panel is shot. They want $600 to fix it.

Until recently, there was no issue with the way the car was running. On Sunday, the car lost power. He pulled over, shut it off, and restarted. Ran with no issue.

Any ideas? I know it is not a truck, but you guys have a lot of ideas!

No idea personally, but I'll bump you up. Also, if there is someone near you with AE, they can probably help you out with some readings and TDC's.

Thanks for the bump! I had this similar issue with my 7.3, ended up being the battery terminals. Up here in WI, we get alot of corrosion. I just thought you guys would be able to shed a little more insight on where to go next.
