I have a 2004 Eddie Bauer with apprx 83,000 miles on it. I've had the clutch packs replaced twice. Now I'm getting a grinding noise when I apply the brakes, usually after they have been applied a few times. Pads & rotors are fine so I was starting to wonder if maybe this is a different symptom of the clutch packs going out again or something else.
The only other thing that comes to mind is that you have a bearing going bad in one of the hubs.
Sorry I wasn't more clear in the original post; the sounds seems to be coming from the front.
The wheel bearing was my first thought but since the clutch packs have caused so much trouble and they can sound like they're coming from the front I thought someone may have had this symptom with them.
