do i need to do anything with my rear axle outer bearings? i just changed the rear end fluid and everything looked good, there are no leaks at all, the bearings do not get hot even with a decent load.. is there a routine maintenance that needs to be done, or just i just leave the bearings alone?

As long as the rear end oil is full, I wouldn't worry about them unless you develop a leak, noise or looseness in the wheels.
