Brakes

On my moms mercury sable, the steering wheel will shake real bad when you hit the brakes, and only does it when you apply the brakes. We put on new brakes, and really dont know what it could be. Anyone?

A little? Enough to send those to the scrappy and buy new ones from Ford. Sure, the Ford ones are crap, but the aftermarket ones (unless you can find some Brembo or Stainless Steel brand) are worse. And find someone to true the stockers up before you install, without taking off a lot of material.

Always turn the old rotors or replace them when doing a brake job.

If you are going to replace them, get ones from your local dealer or from any other parts store besides Auto zone, murrays, pep boys ect... The motorcraft ones for my truck were made in the USA and the ones sold by the chain stores were all made in CHINA or KOREA or even INDIA!!! Like others stated if you think the stock ones are bad, try the imported ones and see how they last. I was cheap once and put china rotors on my sisters 96 explorer and the pads lasted longer than the rotors!!
