Well my alternator has been on the fritz, so I replaced it and my voltage regulator. The new alternator isn't working correctly it's not putting out enough juice and now the battery light comes on I took an ohm meter and checked all the fuseable links from the alt. to the regulator and they all ohmed out fine. I thought I might have gotten a bad alt., but while I was checking my father in law was in the truck reving it up for the voltage tests and it went to working volt gauge went to normat battery light went off. So I turned on the A/C and it gauge bottomed out and battery light came back on. Any ideas on what is wrong. Any help or suggestions are welcomed and appreciated.
Sounds like you bought a bad alt or reg if all your wires are in good shape. This is not uncommon at all.
You can find out witch one it is by unhooking your reg and jumping the A and F terminal on the connector this will make your alt go into full charge should be around 14.5 volts even with all accesories on. If it does then your reg is bad if not it is the alt.
