Alright, GO ahead and flame me if you want, but I got a 1992 nissan from my grandma for $300. she took it through a ditch and cracked the bumper and put a hole in the unibody frame.
This summer it is gettiing a body kit and paint job. Next summer my dad is getting a 347 stroker and toploader to put in it. He wants it to womp on the ricers, and make a mean drag car out of it. 425hp in a 2500lb car should go good. This has been the plan from day one.

That's fine.

Here's the difference:

You're taking a car that otherwise had no use and putting real power in it so it'll actually move.

They're taking otherwise good cars and trying to get the 4-bangers in them to make real power. It'll never happen. And then they put retarded stuff on them. Ex: The retarded wings you always see on the back of front wheel drive cars.

What is the defenition of real power? Is 500 or 600hp out of a 4cyl enough? Or maybe take Toyota supra's with 1000hp, but that is a 6cyl in the Supra. Thats not enough I guess.

Ok everyone Im a fan of muscle but its all about tastes. I have 3 things to say-

1. American sport/muscle cars are fast. Anyone who doesn't think so has the mental capacity of a toilet seat.

2. Japanese sport/tuner cars are fast. Anyone who doesn't think so has needs to shove their arm up their own a$$.

3. Its all about who spends more money to make the better car.

Hot Rod Magazine did a feature about the movie since "The F-Bomb", Hot Rods creation was featured in the movie. The cars doing the wheelies had several hundered if not a thousand pounds in the trunk. The only cars with the correct engine in them were the "close up" vehicles such as Vin's Hemi (I think it was a Hemi the articles not in front of me). The rest of the cars had 350/TH400 chevs in them.

it was a good movie sorta. just to much bs. I hate ricers. now the rear wheel drive tuner Mazdas. they are fine with me. That's because they actually move. Now here in my area there is a 2009 Nissan Skyline GT-R. Its im not even gonna lie nice. one reason skylines are fast is they have such a long stroke its not even funny. its stroke is almost identical to a ford 300 I6. also the whole twin turbo thing is the most help on making it go fast.

I was driving behind someone yesterday with my expy, and they were doing 5 MPH under the 35MPH speed limit in a lancer evo with stickers and some really obnoxious mods on the back of it. This guy was going so slow it was pathetic. I don't get why someone would get one of those cars as a daily driver. The gas mileage on it couldn't have been too good, its pretty ugly, and the thing had 2 seats in it, so it couldn't get many people around. Now take an expy, with all of its seating, slightly worse fuel economy, all the power you need(at least when you drive like this guy). Why get the evo? I never hit 2K RPM while driving behind him, which is pretty bad since I normally hit 2.5-3K when accelerating.
