Make sure your carrier is not damaged or the holes for the pin are not worn before you buy all the gears and install kit.One place I used to deal with I belive was national gear.
Just be aware that the rear ends for these diesels can be spendy, even used. My Dana 70 rear end cost 450 used and that was the cheapest I found for three states around. I saw prices as high as 900 for the same unit. Good luck though.
I recently spun the yoke on the rear pinion and had to search for a new rearend. I picked one up from a 1996 f250 crewcab for 150 bucks. It had matching gears, new seals and bearings and even had the limited slip setup that mine was unfortunatly lacking.
Just keep your eyes open, if you have a sterling axle, any other matching axle will swap in there without a problem.
Ok thanks guys. Theres a junk yard about an hr away with nothing but trucks. Gonna call em in the morning. Gonna try to find some other cool stuff while im up there. Get some grab bars and maybe intercooler
Any SRW 250 or 350 from 92 to 97 would be a cantidate.
99 and newer would not match the bolt pattern on the wheels.
Older than 92 does not have the speedo sensor in the axle.
Alright bought a complete rearend with 130000 miles on it for $300. Smooth when the yoke turns and no noise at all.
Got one other question. Are the brake lines on a 94 metric or standard size. I got redo the rear metal brake line.
