Put new pads on my truck bout a month ago. They never squeaked until then. It is the drivers side front and driving me crazy. Why only the drivers side? Doesn't do it all of the time. If I get on the brakes hard the squeak is worse. I pulled the pads back off thursday and lubed the pins and it still does it. Any ideas? Pads? Rotors? Tired of it sounding like a drive a POS.
The passenger side has a bigger groove in it and it doesn't squeak. Would softer(cheaper) pads help any. BTW I have some old Alabama records somewhere.
What kind of pads did you put on? My experience is the harder the pad the more likely to squeal. NAPA pads have been terrible for me on other vehicles. I will not even put them on my truck.
I'd say if you have the time and access to a trusted shop, take the rotors in and have them turned. You'd be amazed at the slightest blemish can cause some of the weirdest noises. Double check the pads as well for any type of uneven wear or grime that got caught between the pad and the rotor surface.

I had a similar issue.evrytime I applied the brakes, sounded like a Kenworth truck after I had them replaced. After a couple hundred miles it just stopped. Brake shop said "ceramic" brake pads take a few miles and usually wear through it. Sounded kind of " hoakey" to me but they are now quiet. Maybe the same for you
