Trying to help a friend

hey guys, i am trying to help out a friend of mine, he says his fuel mileage went down the drain and it does not leak, injector o-rings? i hooked up my matco determinator scanner and it did not show any codes, but i checked the cylinder rotational values and at idle 1 and 2 were at about 1.3% 3-7 were at 0% and 8 was at about 5.1% i am still new to diesels and i am not sure what this means, any help would be appreciated.

Number 8 tends to have a higher value due to it's placement in the fuel / oil rail & the firing order.

For mileage issues, start with the basics. Clean fresh oil in the engine. Fuel and air filter in good shape. Then check for boost leaks. Check the 6 boots on the intercooler plumbing (big aluminum tubes under the hood), and check the up pipes for leaks (come off exhaust manifolds and connect behind the turbo).
