4r100 Question
Can the 4r100 be fitted with a torque converter lock up switch the same as I helped my friend install on his 96 psd with the e4od trans? It sure seemed nice to use as a breaking feature when he took it for a test drive and rode along with him!! Also, is this a good idea to do this or can this cause premature transmission wear? I would only want to use it as a breaking feature not anything else as it seemed to shift so firm on acceleration that I thought it might actually be doing some harm then? Any idea if this would even work as good on a gas vs diesel situation?

I thought it wasn't such a big deal with gassers because they actually do engine-brake rather well?
The diesels need all the help they can get because they don't have a throttle plate.
