wiper motor noise

I have purchased 3 and returned 2 reman wiper motors. They are noisy on the bench and noisier when installed. Wiper mechanisms operate with little effort when detached from motor shaft. The noise sounds like worn gears meshing less than perfectly and is too loud to tolerate for very long. Are these units just poorly rebuilt or I am I doing something wrong? Apparently new motors are no longer manufactured. Is there a rebuild kit for the gears and bearings? Or what? HELP! -Jim

Mine sounds like a loud hum or "whirr", when it runs.

A sort of, "Wirrrrreeerrrrrreeerrrreeim, Wirrrrreeerrrrrreeerrrreeim"

Did that when it was new.
