Okay. I've considered one of those also. I wonder if the hitch would handle the boat though, being it's kind of a heavy boat.

I have seen guys pull a car trailer with one. I guess we would have to check what the weight limit is on the extension.

I would think you would be okay with that weight.

that is an interesting thought. I might have to poke around and see how that would work.

the ground wire from the battery terminal, that runs to the engine block. dosent ground. Somebody at some point some spliced a peice of 12 gauge wire, to the negitive post to the core support.

I got stuck at work, because it wouldnt start. couldnt figure out why the groung on the block is no good, so I ran a piece of 4 guage to the core support for a temp, fix. Turns over a whole lot faster. I still think there is a little bit of a heat issue, but I can start it when it is hot.

Which is always a good thing. My first truck would vapor lock on me if the temps got too high outside and under the hood.then again the fuel line from the pump on the block to the carb sat less than an inch above the valve cover.

I think it may be time to invest in rewireing the whole truck. It starts when its engine hot, but it turns over slower than when its cold.
