Towing with a locker???

Howdy all, I am thinking about locking up my rear 8.8 axle. I have a 95 ford bronco with a 351 and an 8.8 rear. I go off roading more than I tow. I already have the front Dana 44 locked, Welded the spider gears together. I request the traction off road and Im thinking about swaping a friend axle's for his open and my limited slip. With the open I can install a mini spool or weld it. But my question is would towing my 17 foot boat be a problem. As im not willing to pay for a selectable locker. The art of having all four wheels constantly turning would drasticly improve my capabilities. however is that going to be a problem when I tow?
Thanks
Gary

Well... since you already have your front differential locked, I would say you are only using this vehicle off-road and that you already have experienced the behaviors of a locked diff. The only thing that I can see causing problems (aside from the normal things of locking a diff... but you already have seen that with your front) is that the trailer's tongue weight will add weight to the rear axle. This will put a lot more stress on the rear differential and axles when turning. When off-road and the diffs are locked, the tires slip on the dirt when turning. The added weight on the rear axle will make it harder for the tires to slip...
