Block Heater Plug
I am trying to find the part # for the block heater short harness (with 120V plug) that plugs into the main harness. My plug melted. Any help would be appreciated as I cannot find this thing anywhere. Jim

Jim,
On my '06 6.0 PSD the block heater cord plugs directly into the heater located on the passenger side of the engine. If you look through the front passenger side wheel well to the rear of the tire, look for the starter motor & then look up and slightly to the rear. You will see the heater cord plugged into the heater. You can call your local Ford dealer to get a factory cord ($75 - $100) or what I did is go to E-bay. I bought a replacement cord for about $25 (non factory) and it works perfectly. The non-factory cord dosen't have the body clips to secure it to the frame, but a few zip ties takes care of that.
