Well new to the 6.0 crowd, 12 days and 1800 miles, Towing and empty. I can hardly wait in the morning to jump in, 2006 with 35,000 miles and a clean oasis report.
Does anyone post anything positive about the 6.0 anymore?
When it's running, it's too busy working for me to have the time to come in here and chat. But that's just me.

I walked away from a deal on a 6.4 because of all the EPA mandated crap they hung on it. I'm still not convinced they've gotten "clean diesel" and "reliability" (as we used to know it) into the same sentence. Chose to stick to the devil I know.

No offense intended, but these kinds of posts never fail to amuse me. Any problems that'll crop up after 34K would have to be attributed to disuse. Don't you guys drive?
Seriously, I think I went 98K before anything cropped up. Then things went to hell in a handbasket for awhile. Then it got better. Then it crapped the bed again. In the meantime I bought other vehicles to accommodate the downtime. My goal was 300K when I bought the '04. May still get there, but I would have been a whole lot closer by now if the thing had held up it's end.
I don't drive 100k a year. I do use my truck so I don't think the "disuse" thing will be an issue. Different people have different needs and uses for their trucks and mileage varies accordingly. I'm glad you got your daily amusement. The OP asked for GOOD stories about the 6.0 and mine happens to be one. Since you've had trouble with yours, maybe you accidentally picked the wrong thread to post in.
I love my truck i wouldn't have anything else but a ford anyway. i blew away a guy in a gmc and when he caught up to me he waved and smiled of course i had to slow down first
I raced a Dmax the other day and by 50 mph i was 2 truck lengths ahead hahaha love my 6.0...i think he got scared when he heard the scream of the straight pipe and all the black smoke all over his truck
Does anyone post anything positive about the 6.0 anymore? Everytime i look it's always "my head gasket blew" or "i have an oil leak" god d@mm" i know early on they had their problems but most of the issues were ironed out. I have a 2006 350 6.0 and knock on wood she's been great "aside forom a minor turbo seal issue."I love my truck and i wanna see some guys out there like me. Lets hear your stories what you got and some positive stuff. Don't get me wrong if you have an issue here is where to post it, it helped me with my turbo seal but all i see anymore is "bad" stuff about the 6.0 which isn't really that bad of a motor. anyway thanks for listening
Bought it new. Completely stock with 55,000 +/- miles on it now, it's had most of the problems, seals, blown turbo & inner cooler, head gaskets, egr's, etc.
It runs great, tows a ton, & I would buy another one in a heart-beat.
We tow a 37 ft. 1/5 whl. Trk & trailer @ 21,000+/- lbs & we're headed for the East Coast in May.
I have 114K on the clock of my '03 6.0L. I have not had a single issue with the engine or trans (other then a ICP sensor 2K into its life); completly satisified.
Took delivery in December of '02 so I have an early one. Change the oil and filter every 5K and fuel filters every 15K, other PM as per the rough service schedule.
2005 CC DRW 6.0 with over 101,000 on the clock, but for a blown transmission, cracked engine block, blown EGR cooler, and three cases of a bad injector or HPOP stranding me I would have nothing to complain about on mine.
but really Other then those few things I love my truck
And I had 87,000 on the original tires before they needed changed
51000 miles and no issues at all on my 07. I see some oil on the bottom of the pan but I ignore it
in most cases if you don't see a little oil underneath it then you might want to check what kind of fuel you're putting in it...
i just turned 65K on my '06 and not a single issue! OASIS states fuel rail and fuel sending unit were changed by original owner but that is nothing! i've had it since it had 46K. i'm probably responsible for more broken necks from people watching my truck drive by than any DMAX and Cummins combined!
Thanks for all your replies fellas, i new there was a lot of proud owners out there. I didn't want to cause any problems posting that but i just wanted to see if everyone felt the way i do about their rigs. And after all those awesome responses now i know i stand in a proud group of loyal ford truck owners and wouldn't have it any other way. Thanks again guys and keep on rollin
Well on my maiden vouage the head gaskets went south due to my lack of knowledge (1st DIESEL& no FTE).But during that month I found this great site and everyone gave me some knowledge. And I'll tell you what I LOVE MY TRUCK! Its been good except the head thing!
