help please
i bought a 1989f250 diesel truck .It was fine for 2 weeks now i changed alternators and voltage regulators and batteries I am overcharging so bad i was wondering if i could hook 2 voltage regulators up to help the problem i really havent the money to take it to the shop atm responses would be greatly appriciated thank you kyle

yeah because i have the same year truck and replaced only one alternator unless theres one hiding some wheres.... but i would make sure ya got the right batteries and everythings grounded right and make sure ur cables are good

Most auto parts stores will do a charging system check for free.
Overcharging, sounds like a bad regulator or incorrect wiring somewhere near the regulator/alternator.

One alternator per truck, at least that's how the factory made them. I agree with Dave, sounds like a votlage regulator issue - take it to AutoZone or some other parts store and let them try to diagnose it. By the fact you replaced the VR separate of the alt I assume tis an external VR and you really can't wire those wrong, same with the alt - there's only one way the harness plugs fit, unless you force them big time.
