I have been looking at the forums for a while and finally joined, lots of info on here. I saw a new 09 F150 the other day and noticed that the badges were quite a bit different than the 08. I like the new ones and was wondering if anybody new if they would interchange. I'm not sure how they are fastened on but I know on my mustang the GT badges have stems that go into the fenders and if you take them off they leave holes. Thanks for any info.
not sure if they would or not but I do know that they are really expensive. probably like 100 bucks a piece, I know that's how much the one on your tailgate costs. Unless you could find them in a junk yard, and they probably won't show up there for a while.
I talked to a friend of mine that works for a Ford dealer in FL and he said they list for around 35 bucks or so, he said they should interchange but the tabs may not line up the tabs may have to be cut off and then glue the emblems on.

Thats why I always think it's good to have a friend who works at a dealership. They know things most people dont. Plus parts at cost are nice too!
Just replaced the one on my tailgate, 2006 cost 14$ plus shipping. The black in the lettering had come off. They have 2 index spikes on the back so it lines up and ready to stick tape.
Y did ford go back with the about the same thing that they had in the past? Those look better but its about the same design. they need to create something new. Although they would look good on my 06. LOL
Along these lines, a while back I came across some ford emblems on ebay. They had been D.I.Y'ed from a blue background to a black one. I have seen something similar before but, they were only stickers. These ones were the OEM ones. This guy found a way to pry the top clear portion off, then hand paint the blue areas then re-applied the top. They looked real Bad a**! But unfortunately I stopped bidding at around $80. Anyone heard of this, or know how to do it?
