The inside electronic lock switches work fine (the ones on each door)...
...but the Exterior KEYPAD on the driver's side door stopped working. Even when pressing the 2 right-side digits, nothing happens (by defualt, this locks all the doors)...it's like it's completely dead.
And...neither of the Remote entry key chains work either (batteries are not dead...checked them earlier).
Does anyone know what might cause this? I checked the fuse diagram in the owners manual (I think it indicates fuse 18)....checked #18...it looked okay.
I honestly don't know with out doing some research, but I think there is a control module that handles the keyless remotes and keypad. You might see if you can track that down and check it. I would assume, again, that it is under the driver's side dash.
the door locks have switches that disable the RAP module when unlocked .it grounds out the module and disarms it .you may have a defective switch. drivers side ,passenger, liftgate locks.when you lock the doors it rearms the system .a faulty switch will disable the system.

Thanks very much...
If I understand....the switch, if bad, simply will not re-arm the RAP when all the doors are locked (?).
Is this switch accessible....and is there a way to test if it is indeed the issue?
(while this may not relate...all doors are very difficult to unlock with the key...like the mechanism is resisting being turned....I'm a little worried I may torque-twist a key).
I think the switch is part of the lock . if you find the wire connected to the lock and disconnect it and see if your key pad works . if this is the case then the lock will have to be replaced .most likely the drivers side ,
