there are a LOT of covers to that song. this is definitely my favourite. Soil even did one, but this one is better.
This song has a LOT of history and almost has a cult following. no one really knows where the origins came from but it is widely accepted that it was old military chant. Black Betty being the soldiers weapon. Black Betty was an old slang name for a specific rilfe i believe. and obviously wham blam is the weapon firing
i love and am intrigued by music. sometimes when i get bored i look random stuff up. there have been a lot of bands that covered it and i wanted to find all of them and hear all of them, just kinda stumbled over a lot of info while looking
and for thing, when i saw the movie 3000 Miles To Graceland there was a kickass cover of that song in it and i wanted to know who it was by. It wasn't Spiderbaits version but it was another rock version and it wasn't on the soundtrack if i recall correctly. I'd have to watch the movie again to verify but it was either by Throttle Rod, or Big Rock City. Either way, all these covers are better than the Ram Jam Version IMHO lol
I like this video. Sounds better than Ram Jam did. The song suited the car in the video. It sounded like they were singing about the car as Black Betty.
Spiderbait did the theme song for Ghost Rider. They sung a the Johny Cash song Ghost riders in The Sky. I did not care for that one version of that song.
I like a lot of different music. Rock and roll mostly. Rap music I cannot stand. or most techno music.
My music is usually Pink floyd or AC DC. Def lepard. are my most popular.
I even like the Blueman group which are coming this October.
I even went to Trans Siberian Orchestra last Nov. I like their music.
Yeah, I like some country music.
