Expy tow package??
Hello, what is the deal with the Expedition and tow package. We live in western Az and have been trying to find a 2000-2001 Expedition with 5.4L and tow package and they are NONEXISTENT!! Is this because this option is expensive and no one wanted it, or is it because it's not worth the expense. We tow a 27' travel trailer in the desert and feel the tow package is essential. Are we wrong?? Help if you have any ideas on the subect. Thanks, John

I was looking on the Edmunds site since we are also wanting to upgrade towing vehicles for our 27" Jayco trailer. We pull with a E150 right now, but it doesn't have the power it needs in Tennessee mountains. Looking on the Edmunds site I can only find the 5.4 in the 4x4 Eddie Bauer, very pricey! The Expedition has a shorter wheelbase and may need the fancier hitch (can't think of the name right now, but it is supposed to be better than the normal weight distributing hitch).
