Floor jack for 2005 SD
Hey guys just would like to know if this floor jack is good enough for my Super Duty?

Can you guys lift both tires on one side off the ground at the same time? I wanted to rotate the tires on my '08 CC 4X4 short bed and my jack wouldn't go high enough to get both wheels up at the same time. I have a Performance Tool 3 ton. It looks like the Blain's jack only a different color. I also own a 69 Chevy Impala. If I want to lift it by the rear end housing I am banging the handle on the gas tank. I would love to have a jack with a longer lifting platform and higher lift...any ideas?

I havent tried to lift both tires at the same time. I normally lift the front corner and put it on a stand, then move to the rear with the wheels on the other side chalked.

I have seen a jack that would work for your situation, it was nearly twice as long as my current jack. My uncle had it in his shop, and if I remember correctly it always had a bad seal or ram, it never worked long after being repaired.

I am not a fan, a floor jack is much more convient and seems more stable to me.

i/m going with wewonit on this one, just lift front corner and put on jack stand then back corner. you would need a pretty hi lift jack to put under one side of the frame and raise it hi enough to raise one side of wheels off the ground. as soon as you start lifting the frame the suspension still has to go to full drop on the one side before the tire starts lifting.

Unless they have an extremely wide base, I'd steer clear of a bottle jack unless it's just to get the truck high enough to put jack stands in place.

I just got this one, mainly to be able to lift the SD, but it works great for everything. It is a very sweet jack that appears to be well-built, well-finished and not too pricey. What I really like about it is the very low min and very high max lift. It was the best I could find without getting into the insane cost category. And the true test - it releases butter smooth and very controllable.

I haven't actually lifted the SD with it yet (just got it a couple weeks ago) but it got under my POS Civic which is very low and hoisted it way up easily last weekend. I need to rotate the SD tires soon, so I will get the chance to use it there and will report back.
