I have a 77 F150 Reg Cab. I want to replace my old bench seat with a newer seat from a newer truck. I don't know what bolt hole pattern I have or what newer truck if any would work. I will be going to a salvage yard sometime this week to see if there is any good seats available.
I just put a seat in my 1979 F250 from a 1997 F250 HD that was wrecked. It could not have been easier. 8 bolts total. Put the new seat from the donor truck on the rails of the original seat. Ford changed the rails from time to time, but not the bolt patterns on the seat itself, so you just swap the old rails onto the newer seat and Bob's your uncle. I did it in less than an hour by myself. The only hard part was getting the old rails out of my 1979. Took some PB Blaster and all my might, but after that it was a cake walk. BTW, I have very little mechanical ability. Good luck!
