Leak sealant
I know this is not the correct way but I need to pass the TX state saefty ins. I have an exhaust leak at the adapter between the exhaust outlet flange and the bottom of the intake plenium. I know it is the gasket, however, the bolts will break when I take it apart and all else will go wrong, so what is the reccomended compound to spread along the seem to stop the leak? I was thinking some sort of liquid metal or JB weld?? Actually with the CAM I have in the engine I think with the low idle they think there is a leak due to the sound, but finding this leak it is hard to disprove them. Any suggestions

Try the same compound you use to seal holes in mufflers. It comes in a kit with a steel mesh you apply over the muffler hole first, then smear on the epoxy/plaster, whatever it is. Try that stuff. All it can do is just burn off and stink horribly after you've passed inspection.
