Anyone know the return line fitting size on a bendix PS box, ither it is a 5/8 or 9/16 have nothing that can measure that small of a difference. I just got the box and am trying to scrounge up the lines.

There's no such thing as a downsized Bendix P/S gearbox.

C6TZ3548L .. Bendix P/S Gearbox Housing.

C6TZ3E500A .. Bendix P/S Gearbox Master Seal & Gasket Kit

Fits: 1966/68 F100/250 2WD / 1969 F100/250 2WD before serial number G96,001.

No more Bendix P/S after this 1969 serial number cutoff.

1964/72 Ford Truck Parts Catalog / Text / Section 35.1 / Pages 23 & 24 / Bendix P/S Gearbox Parts List # 45.

Ford calls the P/S hose fittings "Seats" but doesn't say which one is for the pressure and return hoses.

The following are the "Seat" sizes, not the wrench sizes:

372896S .. 3/8" Seat

373430S .. 5/16" Seat

Don...take a look here: Illustration Section 35.1 / Page 2 / 2nd illustration (Plate 5144)

Sorry, when the thread was posted a day or so ago thought I would try and assist by using my recently purchased Master Catalog CD. Now believe memorizing the 'Encylopedia Britannica' would be easier, probably would have lasted a 'nano second' as a FOMOCO employee Parts Locater. Anyhow; Bill, don't know how yu do it, but thanks for citing the Section and Page, it was a very helpful learning exercise. Practice!Practice!Practice!

Sorry Bill, responded to your email, but in reference to #3, it was after I sent the response that it dawned on me there was a #5 which cleared up much of my confusion, kinda like experiencing an epiphany. O'well, what can I say, lights on but nobodys home. Thank you for clearing it up.
