I just bought an old trailer and have a problem with the lights, when i turn the light on the truck on they come on, when I want to signal they just stay on (truck lights do signal ) and when I press on the brakes the trailer lights go off... what would I be looking for ? all the wiring seems to be ok, could it just be the trailer connector wich is not properly setup ? bad ground ?
Any help would be appreciated.. I need to get that trailer on the road very soon.
Is it a 4 wire or 7 wire plug? I would start with gound and then work my way from there. Yellow is left trun green is right turn brown is marker lights. If you have yellow turn signales you will have to buy a box that isolates the brakes and turn signals.
Forgot to specify, its a 4 wire plug. I have been thinking.. lately I changed the signal relay in the fuse box, and if I remember correctly it said on the box for 2 bulbs only.. could this be my problem ? ( it was the cheapest rely in the store )
