i have a 92 f250 with a 7.3 diesel and am looking at puting a b&m shift kit in it with the kit you can go 2 ways heavy duty or street/strip has anyone used these i am wondering what one i should use i will be doing alot of towing and i am hard on trannys any info would help thanks here is what b &m says STAGE 1. HEAVY DUTY Firm positive shifts without the loss of driver comfort for improved performance in all street vehicles. Recommended for regular passenger vehicles. STAGE 2. STREET / STRIP Provides positive shifts for high performance street use or for competitive events. This level is for the enthusiast who wants the hardest quickest possible shift.
I put a heavy duty kit in my 96 250 and was one of the best upgrades I did to it. Nice firm shift between gears with out that slipping feeling and dosent pound it so your head snaps! I just recently bought another F350 that has something done to the tranny not sure what but this truck really snaps your head if you get on it between gears but if you just do normal driving with it it is fine! Thinking the last owner may have had some proffesional work done to the tranny. I would think the heavyduty should work for you!
