WD Hitch question.

I recently "downgraded" from an F-250 to an F-150.

My TT is an 87 Sunline Saturn 16 footer.
When I hitch up to my new truck (97 F-150) I'm sitting a little low in the rear. With the F-250 the truck didn't drop even an inch.

I estimate that the tongue weight of my TT is around 350-400 lbs.

All the WD hitches I have looked at so far have 600lb bars as the lowest rating. Do I need to find 400lb bars? Are they even available?
Or can I use the 600lb bars and just not cinch them up real tight?

I don't want to mess with air bags or springs on the truck.

You can always have bigger The setting is what you customize, and you can adjust that as needed.

Hook the trailer to the truck, then use the tongue jack to lift the trailer & truck bumper up until the truck is just slightly nose down. Hookup the WD bars, and let the jack down. If the truck sets level, you're done. If not, repeat the jacking and adjust the WD bars accordingly. Don't forget the truck and the trailer should both set level when properly adjusted.

St. George Tucker: “This may be considered as the true palladium of liberty… The right of self defence is the first law of nature: in most governments it has been the study of rulers to confine this right within the narrowest limits possible. Wherever standing armies are kept up, and the right of the people to keep and bear arms is, under any colour or pretext whatsoever, prohibited, liberty, if not already annihilated, is on the brink of destruction.”
