... not to mention competition from over seas... seems logical that another company would pick up the Ram... at the same time it makes me a little sad to see such huge chunks of GM going to the unions and federal govt. Never was much for socialism. Viva la Ford! *smirk*
I'm just thrilled that Ford is doing as well as they are and I'm genuinely curious to see what they've got in the pipe for the mid size market. Between fuel prices, people who want a 4x4 daily driver that fits in a regular garage...and how impressively ford has been adapting to changing markets over the last few years...I think whatever they have for us will be competitive.

Why cant they at least just bring the crew cab Rangers they sell in Mexico up here? it would cost next to nothin and would give Ford a proven and very desirable and small truck in a class of its own...

The Ranger keeps going and going and going... I'm not so sure IT'S dead!... It was supposed to be dead a few years ago...

On to a different subject, Ram has name value.. so does Power Wagon.... and they always will... If Dodge dies, someone will want those names... if nothing else...

Hummer is out there too, if AMG doesnt absorb it... and if Ram gets out there, Jeep will be again too... Jeep would be a great pick up for Ford... Come to think of it, Ford would be great for Jeep too! bye bye crappy crossovers! Hello Gladiator!

Besides, 66/77 Bronco fans would have a heyday gloating over the jeepsters if Ford got a hold of the brand... wahaha

Let there be no doubt... FORD IS KING!

Those crew cab rangers are everywhere but the US. Wonder why they dont just send them over. I imagine they would do quite well if priced accordingly.

They don't pass the NHTSA standards in collisions. Same was the s-10 crews in the nineties. But the trucks were changed so they could be sold in the US.

Fords last for 20 years, chevys 15, dodges last as long as a two term president.

30 years of screwing the consumer and producing sub standered crap will do you in. The ram sucks.
im gonna have to highly disagree, i drive an olderish f150 and its falling apart on me, everytime i fix something, something even worse goes. ive been around for 4 of my dads dodges, a dakota that was rolled, 2 rams, and a durango, never seen any problems with any of them, had some trouble with an intrepid but nothing too serious. not to mention when i get stuck, the buddy i call drives a dodge, only problem was a broken strap once after i was already out

A while back, perhaps early last year, truck trend reported that Ford was working two possible replacements but I haven't heard or seen anything since.

You may very well be right.

Ford did a great job of closing that gap on the MPG advantage that the smaller trucks had over the full size trucks. I'd like to see Ford come out with a Dakota / Tocoma size entry.

Been there and done that. Eventually you'll replace enough parts, she'll stop acting up.
