What Could You Get?
I am good at bargaining prices on these trucks because i know them and consider it fun. My buddy sees my passion for them and is interested. He wants a black fx4 and low and behold there is one on the lot. Has every bell and whistle except the climate control system. Has back up camera, sun roof, black leather, 20" wheels. Its a crew cab short box. Sticker was $53400 and now its $40000 even. Can i go lower and how would you accomplish it?

If that's an '09, I'd say it's pretty close to the best you'll do. If it's an '08, there should still be some wiggle room. Right now, Ford is showing $3500 rebate for '09 and $8500 for '08 Super Duties in my area. Considering the usual 6000-7000 difference between MSRP and invoice and the available rebates, it's going to be close but you might see if they're willing to dig into their holdback. All depends on how badly they want to move it and how long it's been on their inventory / floorplan.

I was just checking and found this also. It shows $500 Mfg. to dealer marketing support cash. An '08 has been there for a while so I'd guess you could get a pretty sweet deal on it.
