I have a 1999 E-150 Conversion van, that was set up for a trailer right from the dealership (Well, they had it done at another place). Anyways, I go to hook up the trailer last week and no Electric Brake Controller, I have trailer lights, right turn signal and right brake light. I thought maybe it was because the rear plug was corroded, so I replaced it. Still the same thing. Took it to a Ford dealership and they said I needed a new brake controller. Took the brake controller out of van and put it in a pickup I have and everything works perfect. Today, I tried to get an appointment at a RV dealership and their tech stated it sounded like the electric brake controller fuse or relay is burned out. Are those relays something a person can change, or do they take a professional to replace.
