I have a tiny tiny leak on my lower hose connector assume the PO was mean to it and when he replaced something (hose) he loosened the pipe and solder around it or something, it will drip 1-2 drops a hour when warm and 1 drip every 3 hours or so when cold. so its small ....
question is can I just go down there and apply solder with a torch and some heavy gauge electrical solder to "fix" this.. I don't believe in stop leak stuff so dont reply with that as a answer please. The leak isnt worth a new radiator and the truck is not worth professional dollars at this time. I hope that I can somehow do the work myself? I am a handy-man with everything.
Don't know about differences between electrical solder and plumbing solder, but I would opt for plumbing. Just make sure its clean and dry and you shouldn't have any problems. And don't forget to use flux.
