Plow??
is it a bad idea to put a plow on my 2005 ford ranger edge 4wd 4.0 sohc. i wanna do it but it says right in the manual not to plow with this vehicle i was just wondering if any of you guys plow in one and if you have had any problems

I live in Northern Maine where snowplows are a very common sight. I do not see very many on Rangers. They do make plows out of materials other than steel (fiberglass??) that are very light weight. The Ranger is a tough little truck, of that there is no doubt what-so-ever but it was not designed to carry a heavy snowplow or slam into frozen snow banks. That being said, I've seen a snowplow on a Subaru and, an even an old Ford LTD station wagon.
