4wd and ABS problem on -95 Explorer
Hi. Have some problems with my -95 Explorer. When i'm brakes before for example a traffic-light, my ABS start working when the car have almost stopped, even in dry road. Have had that problem for about 4 months. Now i have the front wheels engaged all the time in "4WD high", even in dry roads. Everything else is working and there is no warning-ligths or other indications of trouble. Is there a connection between the problems or is it two separate problems?

Sounds like different issues, but our 2000 had the same ABS pulsation just before a complete stop. I took the fronts abs sensors off and cleaned them up along with cleaning all the rust off the area they were seated in. That fixed our problem.

I have done some testing, and i think that the problem with 4WD is not that i'ts engaged all time, but the diff. lockup seems to be engaged in 4WD Auto, and not only in 4WD Low. Can somebody describe how the front diff. lockup works?
