4wd style
hi all,
been looking at escapes03 and up.am trying to figure out is there a 4wd system that lets you lock it in place,or are they all the automatic,slip in and out style that drives me nuts?thanks for the info.

Its not the type that "slips in and out". It does scan for slippage a hundred or so times a second and adjusts torque split based on those readings. Way faster than you can ever tell.
My 2003 had the switch and I never used it, I let it switch itself and never knew when it was front wheel drive or four wheel drive.
