Superchips micro max econo vs stock
My truck is a stock 04, egr cooler bypass, 4" full diamond exaust, no cat. Just did a milage comparison with my superchips tuner vs stock. Over the same distance ,same trip, same route over a week mixed city hwy. MPG on stock 16.9-17.1 with superchips econo setting 18.7- 19.1.
I have one question, I have heard that the superchips tuner is bad on transmissions, how can this be? what causes the tuner to eat a tranny? I really like my tuner I dont stand on the throttle I just use it to haul kids to ball practice and hunting. Will I need to ditch my tuner and better milage in order to save the tranny?
