Got a favor to ask...can a couple of you that have stock 92-96 F-150's 4wd, stick whatever reciver you have in your hitch and measure how high it is to the ball mounting surface. If you could let me know that and how many inches your drop is that would be great.
From the ground to the top of the ball, mine is 24 3/4 inches. Thats with a frame mounted hitch. I do have 32" tires, i can put my 235s back on if you need me to. To the top of the mounting surface is 22". However, my hitch is upside down, so its higher than if you put the hitch in the regular way. I don't know if that helps, but i tried. The hitch is the most common one, 2" drop i think?
Primary rig is Green Thunder:

Then theres:
99' Mustang GT 4.6L
88' F-250 Heavyduty 4x4 351/c6
95' Mercury Cougar 4.6L V-8
80' E-350 300/6 with a
3 spd column shifter. Weighs around 7,000lbs w. 65mph top speed, who wants to race me!
About 18 inches is what a lot of trailers need. Mine is also mounted upside down, so that it comes out at the same height as the receiver. Mounted right-side up, it is probably a 1 and 1/2 inch drop (16.5 inch)
