I wouldn't trust those. you have no idea what has been changed. any idiot can get programming software and start burning stuff to chips with no idea of what they are doing and you have no idea of the long term safety of the product.... I would stick with a known brand...

I don't think it's a prom or even prom related. The Ebay chip is usually a resistor put inline on the ECT to make the computer think the engine is running cold. You can do the same thing for under $3 with a potentiometer. Stay clear this.

Anything that "retails" for $180 and they are selling for $35 or whatever, can not be legit, I'd steer clear and stick with a known nme brand.
