My Ricksons got here today and I now have them on. Tried them out, the truck runs smooth and drives great. Can't wait to hook up the 5er. Tires are Continental 225/70R/19.5 Load Range G 3970lbs@130PSI. In case you don't live in the South or you are not into college football red and black are UGA colors. Man I love it. OOps, gotta go change my signature.
Say Stanley, how many miles on the truck?
The 19.5 rubber sure makes sense and looks G..R..E..A..T
By the way, I am from the South and isn't it GREAT to be an Auburn Tiger.
Just kidding. Mark R. is certainly a super coach and a real family man.
I have been looking and wishing about those Ricksons for some time.
I've got 305K on my '02 CC and just having a hard time justifying the costs.
I do not pull any big trailers and get 20 plus mpg with straight line driving.
Again, I think the 19.5 rubber is really the way to go with these F-250's.
You did goooooood my fellow FTE'er.
Very nice Stanley. Wish I could convince the Mrs. that those would be a worthwhile investment for us. I just got new tires though, so it would be even more difficult to justify. Love the black too.
Purple and Gold, yeah right. They let me down last week but I love all SEC teams, just some more than others. If you are thinking about Ricksons now is a good time, call Heather. I can't wait to hook up the trailer and see how they tow. As to air presure, they come aired up to 70 lbs. Then there is a chart that gives you the best pressure based on the weight on the axle. Doesn't look like I'll ever go over about 90PSI. And thanks for all the complements, I'll let you guys know how it tows in a month or so.
Dumb question here. What is the advantage to 19.5 inch wheels? I had them on my F450, but my Toyo MT's (35 x 12.50) are rated that heavy, and i don't have to have them at more than 65 psi? Not knocking you wheels, cause the look SCHWEEET, just wondering?
I guess the my thing with them was when I came to replace the tires, there wasn't a big selection to choose from. The michelins (I think) i found cost $$$$$. I had planned to have them recapped instead, but actually sold the truck before they wore down too far.
nevermind, i looked the website up. pretty cool. I guess there is more of a selection than I thoguht. And I noticed the wt ratings on the wider tires, heavy duty no doubt. Single tire rating on the 285/70R/19.5 are 6395 lbs. DAMN!! But they do cost TEXA$!! (like 500 bucks apiece). Now I remember why I didn't like them (actually it was my wallet that didn't like them)
