over heating v10 fix
last summer while towing my 30' fleetwood prowler, the EX would over heat when running highway speed. after talking to two different ford dealership techs ( no, they are not all evil), they lead me to conclusion that my radiator was bad. both stated that they had seen several bad radiators in the area. the probelm was that when towing, the temp. guage would max out and the EX would go into limp home mode. i could pull off of the highway, shut down and then restart and the temp. guage would return to normal for the next 10 to 20 miles. i could run both the front and back heat and it would help keep the temp in normal. last week i replaced the old radiator. my mechanic said that the old radiator had hot and cold spots. and that the old radiator was heavier than the new radiator. must have junk still in the old radiator. i will go on a test run when it warms up more. then the road trip to myrtle beach, sc in may.
