yup, even more ironic, it just did it while refreshing this thread....
YES it is a PITA and has been doing this for a while really slowing down the site. I advised the webmaster and they said to clear the cashier memory or what ever. I run updated current operating system, 2 meg memory at 3MHZ speed on a clean computer and continually get hung up on that add. I began skipping the site due to the add stopping the show.
It's definitely ad related to the Super Chips animated gif. I just came into the Excursion forum a few minutes ago, and the Super Chips ad appeared and froze up the entire site. I had to back out and come back into the forums. I don't have problems on any other forum I visit, so I don't think it's computer or Internet related.
I doubt there's an easy fix, because they are a paid advertiser most likely.
Is anyone else using Firefox? I am on my laptop at work and am having zero problems. No problems on my desktop at home, either. Everything loads just fine and performance is like it has always been.....
I just refresh the page and it works for me. Yes, its a pain! I have been having the problem for about a week also. Its always when the superchip ad comes up.
Same problem here. I thought it was the reload on the new computer that I got. But apparently it is not my fault. It is a PIA. Maybe just email the webmaster a link to this thread ?
