Smog Pump/Air injection ??
I have a 92 F250 with a 460/5spd. It had 90k on it and the catalytic converter went on it. I got a new converter but the problem is the air tubes going into it. I was able to get them off the old cat but the ends are messed up and I'm not sure I can get them on the new converter. The new converter has the bungs for the tubes and they are threaded on the inside so plugging them is easy enough. Can I cut the smog lines back near the engine block where they are rubber hose and plug them there or do I need to leave them open? The tubes going to the converter are not available from Ford or aftermarket and the truck is exempt from emissions. I know on older stuff we used to just take all of it off but I never messed with doing it on a FI engine.
