Hello,
Need some help in understanding and fixing my gas F250. The engine (175,000 miles) runs great but sometimes while on the freeway, it shuts off. It goes out and I have to pull over and try to restart it. Seems after about 6 trys, it starts and off I go. Just wondering if anyone has had the same problem. I can't find a pattern like it shutting off at a certain rate of speed etc...
Thanks
Federico

Reason: explain more
I would go through and check your ignition system... maybe in the solenoid or a grounded out wire somewhere... check and make sure the battery ground is solid and tight, had a problem in my car with a loose ground and it took me days to find out all i needed to do was tighten a bolt... good luck to you, someone on here should have a good answer for you
My `90 had that problem and it was a bad distributor getting hot and cutting out. After it cooled down it would start back up.I replaced it and haven`t had any more problems.
