Just outside of Mammoth last month I got a ticket for no mud flaps and front window tint! I've got a 6" skyjacker lift with 325's on 18" rims. Have any of you guys put on mud flaps and if so, what brand? How do they look? I guess I shouldn't have told the chippie that he was just jealous!! 2008F-350LB 23,000miles and lovin it!
I got the mud flaps from WeatherTech. They are very nice and it took 2 months for anybody to notice that they were there. I like the idea that they blend in.
They fit perfectly and installation took 5 minutes. Highly recommend them.
The window vent things they make are the best too. Snap in, no tape and they don't come loose.
Thanks, I've been looking into the weathertech flaps. How far from the side of your truck do they stick out? My 325 tires are out about 3 inches from my fender edge.
No problem. I was afraid that you had oversize tires. The weathertech ones are a perfect match for the factory 285's (I think). I don't remember exactly what they are but I am sure that they will be too narrow for your tires.
That's a bummer too. The flaps are good and just plain black.
I went to a truck stop and bought 2 mud flaps that go on tractor trailers. They were $14 each, and I got the hard plastic, not the rubber ones. I cut them to size with a jig saw and attached them in about 15 minutes with some small stainless steel nuts, bolts, and washers.
