I am replacing the heads on my 97 460 and want to change the cam. I am looking at the COMP Cams 34-255-5 Computer Controlled Cam, but COMP and Summit both say it is for up to 94. Was there a difference between 94 and 97 460s? Will the cam work or is there a better one. I am looking for more towing torqe, without a total loss of mileage. Nothing radical, just a slight upgrade. The rest of the engine is stock for now, maybe some headers later. Thanks

 

Yes, Ford did redesign the heads for the 94-97 460. The fuelie heads up to 93 were E7xx. The 94 and later heads were F3xx.
